Software Integration Engineer

As a Software Integration Engineer you will support systems engineering, software integration, and software test and deployment activities of a complex system for deployment to the Cloud. You will provide technical analysis for a wide variety of software engineering and integration activities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform software integration, test and deployment of a complex Cloud system
  • Deploys software application and provides software configuration for a variety of software categories
  • Troubleshoots the operation of these components and resolves existing or potential issues to ensure optimum operation of the environment
  • Coordinates and ensures security compliance of the software integration and test infrastructure using DoD security analysis techniques
  • Conducts performance analysis and technology maturity assessments of emerging technologies through application review and load testing
  • Understands and provides insight on system and application performance through the analysis of recorded system utilization and network traffic during test events
  • Interact with the Agile development team developing new features for deployment
  • Occasional on-call support may be required

Qualifications

  • Active Clearance with Polygraph is required
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field, additional 5 years’ experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 7 years prior relevant technical experience
  • Experience with Java development
  • Experience with scripting languages
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with the customer’s Cloud infrastructure
  • Working knowledge with Cloud technologies such as ElasticSearch, HADOOP, Accumulo, CLOUDBASE, noSQL, etc.
  • Minimum 1 years’ experience with RedHat / Linux / VMWare
  • Experience with Docker
  • Experience with creating technical documentation
  • Proven technical troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Hands on network integration and installation experience

Additional Preferred Skills

  • Cloud technologies experience
  • Familiarity with AWS
  • Familiarity with Elastic Stack (ELK)
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
